The most obvious benefit of bridges is the way they restore an incomplete smile but they can also improve eating, speaking, your ‘bite’ and the contours of your face, and they can help keep your existing teeth firmly in place.
If you need to replace a single tooth, or two teeth at the end of an arch, we can use your natural teeth to support the bridge. We first assess the natural teeth, making sure they are healthy enough to provide adequate support. These teeth are known as abutment teeth and are prepared using local anaesthetic. Once they are prepared and dried, we take impressions which are taken to the lab. We can also use our 3SHAPE TRIOS intra oral scanning system to take scans without needing to use messy moulds.
These scans/impressiona are sent to the lab where your bridge is made. In the time it takes to have your bridge created, we provide you with a temporary bridge.
We invite you back for your fitting where we insert your new bridge and fit it in place with dental cement.
For more than one missing tooth, we can use implants to support a bridge, replacing a row of teeth. Implants allow us to replace teeth without needing to touch your natural teeth.

"Fantastic dental surgery. Everyone was professional and helpful. I had a dental implant and was initially very nervous about the procedure. My dentist, Vinnie, was just brilliant: incredibly competent, caring and really enthusiastic about his job - you can tell he loves being a dentist! I had my final appointment today and my new tooth looks amazing. I couldn't be happier with the service I received here."
