Veneers

Veneers
Veneers offer a solution to radically improve the appearance of discoloured, misshapen or mis-aligned teeth.

What does the treatment involve?

For the construction of porcelain veneers, if necessary, a tiny layer of enamel is removed from the surface of the tooth to accommodate the veneer. Once the tooth has been prepared, a digital scan or impression is taken so a customised veneer can be manufactured in the dental laboratory.

A shade match is taken so the veneer blends in perfectly with your natural teeth.

A temporary is fitted and a second appointment is made to fit your permanent restoration.

The veneer is bonded to your tooth with a strong dental adhesive.

A popular alternative is to use composite veneers (composite bonding).

The advantage of this is that no tooth preparation is usually required and the treatment can be completed in a single visit.

As there is no laboratory work involved, the costs are usually significantly lower than porcelain veneers, but the results are equally impressive.

Please ask your dentist about your options if you would like to discuss improving the appearance of your smile.
